About the Company:

We are a leading dealer of heavy construction and aggregate equipment for the construction, mining, oil exploration and municipal industries. Our seven U.S. locations and two Canadian locations sell, rent, service and fabricate heavy equipment for our customers.

As the Field Service Technician, you will work closely with the Shop Foreman and be responsible for repairing a variety of machinery and aggregate equipment. You will also be responsible for servicing units to fulfill OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. 

 

Your Tasks:

  • Continue to learn and build knowledge of dealer supported product offerings, service standards, and procedures
  • Attend local, regional, and national training as requested
  • Conduct damage inspections and testing of all equipment and machine systems
  • Accurately and efficiently repair and recondition all aggregate equipment components
  • Maintain knowledge of all machinery, components, and systems
  • Collect data required for inventory control
  • Perform heavy equipment repairs and maintenance in the field
  • Respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner in the field
  • Operate all heavy equipment in a safe manner
  • Work closely with other departments, including but not limited to, service, parts, and sales
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner
  • Maintain an organized and safe workspace
  • Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles

 

We Require:

  • Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment experience
  • Minimum 2-year Diesel or Automotive Technology degree or equivalent experience
  • Class A CDL License or willing to obtain
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable in order to make site visits
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally for overnight field work
  • Ability of lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 100+ pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 50+ pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 20+ pounds
  • Prior welding/fabrication experience an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to operate within all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Able to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills; able to multi-task
